Fertility rates in the relatively secular blue states are 12 percent lower than in the relatively religious red states, according to Philip Longman in the March/April issue of Foreign Policy. In Europe, a similar correlation holds. As Longman writes: “Do you seldom, if ever, attend church? For whatever reason, people answering affirmatively . . . are far more likely to live alone, or in childless, cohabitating unions, than those who answer negatively.” For the most secular cultures in the world, Longman predicts a temporary drop in absolute population as secular liberals die out and a concomitant cultural transformation as, “by a process similar to survival of the fittest,” they are demographically replaced by religious conservatives.

NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - In a study of sleep characteristics in 669 adults in Chicago who were compared by sex and race, investigators found that blacks got less sleep than whites, while men got less sleep than women.

Furthermore, the wealthier you are, the more sleep you’re likely to get, Dr. Diane S. Lauderdale of the University of Chicago and her colleagues found.

(CBS) MINNEAPOLIS On March 30, Minnesota Timberwolves center Eddie Griffin was drunk and masturbating when he crashed his luxury SUV into a parked Suburban outside a store in Minneapolis, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday by the man whose Suburban was hit in the crash.

WCCO-TV obtained copies of 911 calls and store surveillance video of the incident, along with an accident report the police submitted to the state, reports WCCO-TV’s Caroline Lowe.

Several of the 911 callers that night said Griffin was drunk. One witness said Griffin told him he was watching pornography in a DVD player mounted on the dashboard of his Cadillac Escalade SUV when he struck a Chevy Suburban parked on University Avenue Southeast.

Harold Stowe refutes arguments that racial differences have no biological foundation in “The Genetics of Race.” Race-deniers often use Harvard biologist Richard C. Lewontin’s finding that most genetic variation occurs within races rather than between them to argue that, biologically speaking, racial differences are so small as to be trivial. This argument ignores the fact that 85 percent of the human genome shows no racial or group patterns at all. It is in the vital remaining 15 percent that sharp racial distinctions are to be found. Indeed, genetic science can determine the race of an individual based on his genome with nearly 100 percent accuracy.

American Renaissance editor Jared Taylor reviews Raymond Wolters’ biography of W. E. B. Du Bois in “The Man Who Invented White Guilt.” Du Bois is a significant figure in that he was responsible for establishing the current black attitude towards whites. Throughout his career as a journalist and activist, which began in the final years of the 19th century and continued to his death in 1963, Du Bois promoted the idea that only white discrimination held blacks down and never admitted the possibility that innate traits might have something to do with black failure. Du Bois was editor of the influential publication The Crisis in which he gave vent to his extreme bitterness against whites: for example, he wrote, “It takes extraordinary training, gift and opportunity to make the average white man anything but an overbearing hog, but the most ordinary Negro is an instinctive gentleman.” Du Bois was the only black founder of the NAACP and used it to push the goal of racial integration. This put him at odds with other black leaders, Booker T. Washington and Marcus Garvey, both of whom supported racial segregration. The struggle among these leaders for the hearts and minds of American blacks was bitter, but Du Bois eventually won out, and it is his vision of race relations that, unfortunately, prevails among blacks today.

As has been already pointed out here, ZOG’s military is nothing but a gang of sodomites, serial rapists, and sexual perverts. Therefore, all informed observers aren’t suprised at the prevalence of sexual assaults among ZOG’s mercenaries stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have no doubt that the reports are only the tip of the iceberg. In other words, the 500 reported sexual assaults don’t give us the full story. Most rapes go unreported, either because the female victims feel shame at what had happened or because they face threats, intimidation, and ostracism if they bring forth accusations of rape against their superiors or fellow soldiers.

Over 500 cases of sexual assault have been reported among U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan since the summer of 2002, according to the executive director of the Miles Foundation, a nonprofit group that tracks sexual crimes in the military.

“The combat theater is illustrative of the hostility towards women in the U.S. Armed Forces,” according to Christine Hansen, the executive director of the foundation. Hansen is testifying this afternoon before the House Government Reform Committee.

Hansen notes that survivors of sexual assault in the combat theater point to many issues that contribute to the hostile environment there for women in the military, including “lack of privacy to perform daily routines; insufficient lighting in and around the tents; isolation; existence of a sexually charged atmosphere; presence of pornography; and availability of condoms for male troops.”

Hansen also points out that the wide availability of alcohol has not helped. Alcohol has been involved in 70 to 75 percent of the reported cases.

What explains the gullibility of Americans, a gullibility that has mired the US in disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and which promises war with Iran, North Korea and a variety of other targets if neoconservatives continue to have their way?

Part of the explanation is that millions of conservatives are thrilled at the opportunity to display their patriotism and to show their support for their country. Bush’s rhetoric is perfectly designed to appeal to this desire. “You are with us or against us” elicits a blind and unquestioning response from people determined to wear their patriotism on their sleeves. “You are with us or against us” vaccinates Americans against factual reality and guarantees public acceptance of administration propaganda.

Judeo-Christians and Sabbas Goyim attacked by Jews in Israel

Great news, if they only knew what these orthodox Jews think of Christians and the goyim in general.

A group of 50 pro-Israel Christian tourists came under attack Wednesday from some 100 residents of the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea She’arim in Jerusalem.

Three of the tourists and a police officer were wounded in the attack. They received treatment at the scene.

The tourists arrived at Mea She’arim wearing orange T-shirts with the words “Love your neighbor as yourself” printed across them.

As they neared one of the squares, the local residents apparently identified them as Christians and began to hit them.

Police forces in the area stepped in to stop the violence, but did not make any arrests.

Police say they are waiting for the tourists to file official complaints.

Before I begin I would like to remind you that my remarks today are solely my own and do not reflect in any way the views of Ramapo College, the Anisfield School of Business, the Center for Business and Public Policy, or for that matter the State of New Jersey. I think I covered all the entities I am affiliated with. In addition, I certainly do not speak for the Bush administration.

Nearly two years ago you were kind enough to invite me to make a presentation entitled, “The Coming Collapse of the Welfare State.” In March I spoke at Bergen Community College and my topic was “The Coming Collapse of the Welfare Warfare State (WWS).” Needless to say, no one knows when American’s experiment in big government at home and abroad will end, or how it will end. What we can state unequivocally is that the welfare warfare state is financially unsustainable, socially untenable and morally indefensible – and doomed to the dustbin of history. In the short time we have today, I will focus on the warfare component of the WWS as exemplified by the American invasion of Iraq and the substantial harm the Bush administration’s policies are doing to our economy.

As an academic and private citizen my role is simple: To explain why the welfare-warfare state was created and to inform as many people as possible that there is a better road for America to travel on – a road that would give us sustainable prosperity at home and peaceful relations abroad. However, if we believe that partisan politics will solve our problems, we must remember the insight of Albert Einstein who said something to the effect that when you do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result, that is insanity. Electing Democrats or Republicans will not change the road to financial ruin we are currently traveling. Both political parties are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

The $64,000 questions we will address today are why does America fight wars? Were the wars that the Americans have fought just? And what are the short-term and long-term economic consequences of the Iraqi war?

Too often politicians in the United States talk about avoiding or ending war and then when they get elected do the opposite.
