Comments on: No intelligent design, no $ [Canada or Afghanistan?]

The Civic Platform has been launched to discuss and debate issues related to the West viewed as a cultural compound of Greco-Roman, Christian, and Germanic past. We firmly believe that race informs culture and is a necessary precondition for cultural identity and integrity. Hence, this political vehicle is dedicated to the preservation of the ethnic genetic interests (EGI) of people of European ancestry. Furthermore, since the West faces a demographic crisis of unprecedented proportions (for example, in 1950 Whites represented 30 percent of the world's population. This number will plummet to 8 percent by 2050), we hold that the current trends threatening the racial, historical, and cultural identities of people of European ancestry must be stopped and reversed, if the West is to survive and endure as a distinct racial, historical, and cultural entity.

Jews, like Lewis Carroll's Alice, are equipped to believe 'six impossible things before breakfast', which places them roughly on par with too many Christians who darent look too closely at the motives of the enemy tribe which foisted the untenable and unfeasable belief-system upon them.

I am a Christian, I believe the theory of evolution, I see no incompatibility between it and Christianity, and I reject intelligent design (what little I know of it) and look on it as false Christian science exactly as Lysenkoism was false communist science and the whole edifice of race-denial is false Jewish science. Nevertheless I see no problem for society arising from Christians' believing in this harmless false Christian science, and the only problem I detect in the article is the fact that individual "researchers" (apparently leftists for the most part) can bilk the government (= bilk the tax payers, bilk you and me) out of tens of thousands of dollars by conducting trivial, insignificant, meaningless "research" on trivial, insignificant, meaningless social "issues" (non-issues would be closer to the truth). That's what riles me, not Christians rejecting evolution, a non-issue if ever there was one.

Incidentally, as many, including Steve Sailer, have commented on over the past few years, rejection of evolution in favor of intelligent design is also being seen more and more among Jews of the neocon persuasion (Hasidic Jews must certainly also reject evolution and probably always did but they're not part of the secular world at all, so are more or less invisible). I for one am mystified by this. Intelligent design comes of course from the Hebrew Bible and is one of its cornerstones but just as there is no contradiction between evolution and Christianity there would appear to be none between it and Judaïsm.

Again, the only bad thing I see in this article is leftist academics collecting government dollars for doing "research" amounting to the most worthless tripe imaginable. That's an outrage of the first magnitude.

<i>"Alters says he was completely blown away to read that one of Canada’s largest funding bodies seemed to consider intelligent design an alternative scientific theory to evolution. Coincidentally, he received the letter a few days before giving a Canadian Royal Society lecture on “Intelligent Design, God, and Evolution.” Alters read the six-sentence rejection aloud to the 650 people attending, and “there was an audible gasp in the audience,” he says.</i>

A webcast of Alters' lecture can be seen <a href="http://mediasite.campus.mcgill.ca/mediasite2/viewer/?peid=0eaee9de-ed4a-43b7-8020-ad8c84c34aa0" rel="nofollow">here</a>
