A Hunger for America? Really?

Moises Naim is an idiot.

Being the editor of deliriously misnamed Carnegie Endowment for International Peace’s (sic) flagship publication, Foreign Policy, we expect Moises Naim to be an idiot. In fact, we expect him to be well nigh an exalted grand poobah of idiots, a knave among knaves, the peddler of interventionist nonsense so thick and syrupy it sticks to just about everything around it and makes walking, or even motion of any kind, impossible. As one of an intellectual (sic) cabal of chief justifiers of U.S. intervention, an aspiring world manager who sees himself as senior advisor to actual world managers, we expect nothing less but well-crafted and impressive idiocy from the likes of Moises Naim.

Are there any foundations that aren’t headed by Jews? How come more aren’t headed by righteous gentiles such as the Pioneer Foundation? We need more of those.

Every time I try to log onto The Lyceum site the past couple of days, here’s what I get:

    Site blocked.

We apologize the site you are attempting to visit has been blocked due to its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates.

If you think this site should not be blocked, please visit the Feedback Form available on our website.

Is anyone else getting that? Previously for a long while I got a white screen saying only the words “No Proxies” when I tried to log onto that site, which others said they weren’t getting, so this United Arab Emirates thing may not be affecting all computers. (For the record, incidentally, I’ve never used a proxy server — wouldn’t even know how if you paid me.)

Until the other day, I hadn’t tried that site for a couple of weeks (the press of work plus personal stuff was limiting my time) — if others are getting that screen, has it been going on a while?
