Huckabee not only proposed to include the old Jewish tribal god Yaweh in the U.S. Constitution but in a surpising spirit of ecumenism he added that he sees no reason why that “political document” shouldn’t also mention, for example, “the Tooth Fairy, the Green Man, and Lilith…I’m all for the admittance of magical and mythological beings in our Constitution, maybe then our children will want to familiarize themselves with it,” said the Republican candidate who’s on record as not “believing” in the Evolution, preferring instead to believe in the Genesis creation myth [you know, the 7 days, etc....]
“I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution,” Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. “But I believe it’s a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that’s what we need to do — to amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.”
