   I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before, but Von Thronstahl (www.vonthronstahl.de) has articles on exactly this matter. In an age of decay and democracy, the best way to rebel is through aesthetics, taste and class!

   There’s a lot to be said for that. I always dress very preppy.

   Never understood preppy too much, I nearly always wear suits (ever since my college years), quotes like these are an inspiration:

   “DER DANDY ALTEN STILS IST ELITÄR-ARISTOKRATISCH, ER SCHÖPFT AUS DEN WERTMUSTERN EINER VERSUNKENEN EPOCHE, DIE ER IN SEINER PERSON WIEDERBELEBEN WILL.    But I guess I’ll have to check it out, some differentiation would be nice.

   I am not into the preppy look for myself, but I appreciate fine clothing. (mainly Italian, but some German such as Jil Sander) Ebay is pretty good for Ralph Lauren, but even better deals can be had at styleforum.net (Just keep out of the politics sub-forum or you’ll get banned, as I did)

   The Preppry Journal gives you an idea about the preppy lifestyle. The preppy look came naturally to me in high school, and I’ve pretty much kept on wearing the same type of clothes ever since.

   G.Q. is another good source and is one of the magazines to which I subscribe.
