…which was merely a symbolic act to begin with…you could still find those anti-German books in German libraries, etc.

Via David Irving.

Plus ça change - Germans mark 75th anniversary of Nazi book burning - “Whoever tries to prohibit books, films, theatrical shows or caricatures is on the wrong road,” says German President Horst Koehler: has he never heard of modern Germany’s notorious Index, or the Bundesamt für jugendgefährdende Schriften? or that Germany now prosecutes 15,000 people a year for thought-crimes, or that Google.de is ordered to blank out non-conformist websites including this one? Or that Austria ordered all David Irving’s books in prison libraries to be destroyed. And the difference is?

The difference is that the Third Reich was protesting the publication of anti-German, more often than not Jewish, degenerate filth. Now, on the other hand, all that is sick and perverted and fundamentally anti-German has a pride of place, and is promoted and celebrated by the BRD traitors…and all that is healthy, truly German and patriotic is outlawed and banished by the anti-German, Zionist Bastardstate. That’s the difference, David.

The Third Reich had the advancement of German genetic interests at heart, the BRD labors mightily for the suppression and elimination of German genetic interests. What should a normal German prefer?
