I do believe they’re British and not English nationalists, so that flag is a bit misleading. On the matter of English nationalists, the latest issue of Synthesis can be read on rosenoire.org (although these guys are more like anarchists)
Comment by Der Vermittler — May 31, 2008 #
A very hostile relationship exists between Dissident Congress and the moderniser faction of the BNP. Dissident Congress says that Nick Gri££in and his cronies must go because they are turning the BNP into an anti-Islamic version of the Liberal Democrats and destroying it as a nationalist party. The typical BNP modernisers are socially liberal chavs from Basildon who watch Eastenders, binge drink, go clubbing in Ibiza, and have no interest in patriotism or tradional culture - but hate Islam.
Dissident Congress also believes that 9/11 was an inside job intended to spark off a new cold war rather than the result of an Islamic terrorism attack. They claim that senior figures in the BNP know this.

“I do believe they’re British and not English nationalists,”
What’s the difference? Politically speaking, English identity is inseparable from Britishness. That may change, however, since many English nationalists, such as Guessesworker, consider the term “British” to be a devalued currency.
Comment by Friedrich Braun — May 31, 2008 #
There are English nationalists that believe in the independence for Anglosaxon England and the Celtic people of Mann, Cornwall, Wales, Ireland etc. etc.
These have had a few strong moments in the ’90s but the past years, most have become national-anarchists. There’s also a moderate English movement, but their views on immigration etc. aren’t strong enough (though it could be worse).
In any case, when you ask them about the difference, they’ll tell you the forming of the UK was a mistake and England should be based on its identity from before the 18th century.
I won’t judge about this issue since I’m not from there, but I’m not in favor of the ‘British’ fabric that the BNP calls an identity. Honestly, they’re practically only present in England as it is, so where’s the Britishness? There’s this old Flemish poem that goes like this:
Daar is een Belgische koning
Veel Belgische vertoning
Een Belgische vlag, een Belgisch lied
Maar Belgen, neen Belgen zijn er niet
Translated:
There is a Belgian king
Lots of Belgian display
A Belgian flag, a Belgian song
But Belgians, no, Belgians there are none
I guess you can switch Belgian with British, although I know the actual historical comparison doesn’t fly. As I said, I’m merely speaking my own opinion here as a decentralist. Oh well.
PS
The White Dragon is the Anglosaxon flag of England, this explicitly excludes all Celtic people.

Something calle National-Anarchism is the most ridiculous ideology that I’ve come across in a while. You can’t just keep running away from the city and foreigners and call that practical politics. Additionally, freedom of association is illegal for Whites in Western countries.

It’s the degree of devolution. When the leader of Dissident Congress was the same person leading the staunchly unionist Populist Party, Dissident Congress was unionist and even proposed having MPs for British outposts such as Montserrat and the Falkland Islands. In 2005, both Dissident Congress and the Populist Party elected new leaders and policy has diverged slightly. Rather interestingly for a patriotic organisation, Dissident Congress doesn’t have a hard and fast policy on the union. The territory in which Dissident Congress operates is referred to as “The Realm” and comprises of the UK, Southern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and British overseas territories. The proposal is to have a common currency, and defence and foreign policy for “The Realm”, but the degree of devolution of constituent nations will be decided on by the people.
Comment by Riaz Sobrany — June 1, 2008 #
Mr Sobrany - you say ‘patriotic’ rather than ‘nationalist’. Do we take from this that Dissident Congree is more interested in ‘The Realm’ than its indigenous peoples?
Your name, also, suggests a foreign background. Are you an immigrant, or perhaps the descendant of rewcent immigrants?
Comment by Joe — June 1, 2008 #
Nationalism lacks a precise definition. The SNP call themselves nationalists, but in practice are both pro-EU and pro-multiracial. The BNP also call themselves nationalists but at heart support a multiracial Britain and side with Asian Hindus and Sikhs simply because they are Islamophobic and want Islam banned in Britain.
Some people’s definition of Nationalism is a desire to control and dominate as much of the world as possible. This is certainly not the Dissident Congress policy although we would be more than happy to see similar organisations spring up in other countries.
Other people’s definition of nationalism is a belief in the concept of the nation state with its own peoples, culture, language, identity, and the right to control its own affairs and decide on its own future. This is Dissident Congress policy on nationalism.
The name Sobrany is Russian.
Comment by Riaz Sobrany — June 2, 2008 #
@Friedrich: National-Anarchism isn’t bad in my opinion, but it will only be useful under one condition. This being a cataclysm which would have to destroy most of the current civilisation, and survivalists like N-A can keep themselves safe from. I like the idea, I also like their takes on traditionalism, but the scenario is a dangerously big ‘if’. The idea of small communities of all shapes and forms (including current multiculturalist entities etc.) living together in peace and harmony of course can’t happen.

So your interest is ‘The Realm’ first, and then all the peoples within it: be they Russians or Muslims, and, I suppose, Greeks, Maoris, and Jews etc.? Oh, and any English, Welsh, Irish, and Scots within The Realm.
Some nationalism.
Sobrany is Russian, what about Riaz?
Comment by Joe — June 2, 2008 #

Would a Russian/? claiming the “right to control [Britain’s] affairs and decide on its own future… not qualify for that definition of ‘nationalist’ (whih is known as imperialism in everyone’s book but yours).
Comment by Joe — June 2, 2008 #
Is Riaz Sobrany your real name? What’s your ethnic background?

Primarily indigenous people - although Dissident Congress knows how unpatriotic many of them are!
The general opinion held by Dissident Congress when it comes to ethnics is that the vast majority don’t benefit Britain and are unpatriotic at their best and dangerous at their worst.
Would a Russian/? claiming the “right to control [Britain’s] affairs and decide on its own future… not qualify for that definition of ‘nationalist’ (whih is known as imperialism in everyone’s book but yours).
Uncle Sam’s definition of nationalist is imperialist resulting in US global domination. Many Americans take this to be the definition of nationalist.
Sobrany is Russian, what about Riaz?
Either the name of a village in Switzerland, or the Persian word for the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

What race are you, Riaz? If you please, be precise instead of vague.
Comment by Fred Scrooby — June 3, 2008 #

I’m Aryan.
What did you think I am? Chinese?!
Comment by Riaz Sobrany — June 3, 2008 #
What ethnicity or combination thereof, Riaz? We have issues with subcontinentals imagining themselves european on a frequent basis.
Comment by joossmell — June 3, 2008 #
If you wish to discuss my ancestry, including their involvement with the Silk Road, then please drop an email to Dissident Congress.
Comment by Riaz Sobrany — June 3, 2008 #
The way Riaz evaded my request for specifics is noted.
Comment by Fred Scrooby — June 3, 2008 #
Riaz is of foreign stock himself, which is fine…except that he won’t admit it.
Comment by Friedrich Braun — June 3, 2008 #
He needs to come clean with his ethnicity (and with his race and species also, if those are relevant) but he won’t. I did it with mine and nothing horrible has happened — got me banned for life at GdV (which I admit I was pretty disappointed about) and gets me sneered at by guys like “Northerner” and rarely Desmond Jones, but that’s about it. Joe Sobran’s got the same last name as Riaz and says he’s of Ruthenian extraction (if memory serves, that’s some variety of Ukrainian; please correct me). There’s worse stuff out there than being a Ruthenian Uke so, if that’s all Sobrany’s concerned about, in his place I wouldn’t worry. But it’s that “Riaz” part that’s potentially trouble. What is that? He tried to smoothen it over by saying it “might be” a village in Switzerland but somehow I don’t think that’s it, sorry …
Comment by Fred Scrooby — June 3, 2008 #
I don’t particularly care but I bet that Riaz is East Indian.
Comment by Friedrich Braun — June 3, 2008 #
This is an open website readable by all and sundry. I am reluctant to post too much personal detail here which is why I asked you to drop me an email.
