Am Sonnabend, dem 30. August, fand eine Mobilisierungs- und Solidaritätsveranstaltung für den nationalen Antikriegstag in Dortmund statt. Vor dem mit sechzig Teilnehmern fast bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllten Saal sprachen ein junger Kamerad aus Dortmund, Dr. Pierre Krebs und Christian Worch.

It is interesting that the report references “liberal views” and saying “hateful things” without going into specifics. Perhaps the specific views and specific things are things the media don’t want us to know. I’m guessing that maybe he blamed the church for his inability to find work because they were harbouring illegal immigrants. That’s just speculation on my part, but if the journalists would do their job such speculation would be unnecessary.

Capitalism sucks

I’m currently reading an issue of Free Inquiry (April/May 2008) Vol. 28 No.3. at 42 and I came upon a passage that neatly encapsulates why unbridled capitalism is a bad economic system that often works against people and why libertarians and other market-worshippers are totally out to lunch. It’s a beautiful illustration of how the “invisible hand” is giving the average tax-payer the finger.

In early tests, it showed the promise of sweeping clogged arteries free of plaque after a small number of treatments, thereby reversing or even curing cardiovascular disease. This posed a threat to manufacturers of cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, which are of course much more profitable than the new technique would have been, since statin drugs must be taken indefinitely. A manufacturer of one of the primary statin drugs purchased the small biotech company for twice its then-current value, and the new technique has “disappeared.”

Jobs are key to stable family life, say Tories

The phenomenon of the bong-smoking, shiftless, petty criminal chav lout, who goes around impregnating multiple women in every council estate in Britain, is one of the reasons why British national life has declined to the extent it has. The recent spate of knife-crime in Britain, which has attracted so much attention from the media, is caused by young men of that type.

Really, these people are copying their parents’ behaviour - because it’s more than likely that their dads behaved in exactly the same manner. So the daughters of these men will end up becoming chav Vicki Pollard mums themselves, and their sons will end up becoming chavscum males - thus passing it on, from generation to generation…

In Australia, it’s the same, if not worse. We have 770,000 people on the single parent’s pension.

The solution is not to vote Tory, but to sterilise these men while they’re teenagers - any young man wearing a baseball cap and gold chains becomes a candidate for a compulsory vasectomy. Great way of avoiding excessive population growth as well.

Depressed economic conditions? We have them. Crumbling infrastructure? We have that, too. Hunger? Yes, that too. Inflation and weak currency? Present right here. Corruption? Our politicians can hold their own in that dubious category. Orphans? There are plenty of those, too. There is simply no need to travel. Any bad or sad thing you wish to see you can see here in the U.S.

Does any other country besides the universally hated Jewnited States evaluate life in this way? I doubt it.

Panitch says that the increase in the standard of living since the Reagan era has largely been fueled by growing debt and longer working hours, and suggests that the solution is to democratize economic institutions.

Roland E. Arnall, the founder of the Ameriquest Mortgage Company, which once billed itself as a sponsor of the American dream but later found itself at the center of the subprime mortgage crisis, died Monday in Los Angeles. He was 68 and lived in the Holmby Hills section of Los Angeles.
