War Without End: Bush Calls on France for Help

“We support the troops!” That’s the excuse the Democrats have given for continuing to fund Bush’s aggression against Iraq and Afghanistan. But, of course, war funding doesn’t support the troops. War funding supports an evil machine that chews up and spits out the lives and well being of the troops, along with that of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan, men, women, and children. War funding supports Bush’s aggression in Iraq and Afghanistan and his continuing efforts to occupy both countries in order to turn them into puppet states.

Blanco leaves office January 14.

In Jena, ‘truth’ is real victim

The media have failed miserably in accurately and truthfully reporting the news. And I submit the violent attack by seven black youths on one unsuspecting white youth in Jena at the end of a school lunch period as proof. That unprovoked act of barbarism had nothing to do with the noose incident that took place three months earlier. Let me explain.

The public has been led to believe that the genesis of the attack had to do with nooses found hanging on a tree at the school. They have been led to believe that racial hatred in Jena is rife and that this series of events proves it. However, the true facts provide a different reality.

What Jena Means

Heather Mac Donald does it again — bringing clarity to the cries that Jena is proof that America is a racist country, and that the black prison population is high merely because blacks are overcharged. In City Journal, in a reprint of a Dallas Morning News op-ed, Mac Donald writes:

Concerning the so-called Jena Six, Carol Swain, black author of The New White Nationalism, writes:

Almost a year ago, my 41-year-old brother, Kevin Henderson, died from injuries he sustained on his job after he was attacked by a group of teenage boys.

According to a neighbor who witnessed the attack, five teens knocked my brother to the ground, kicking and stomping him until the neighbor intervened. Kevin staggered home, collapsed into a coma and was declared brain-dead within hours of the attack.

Do people of other races behave in this way? No. This sort of murderous pack savagery is characteristic of blacks and blacks only. Yet it is never identified as a black phenomenon. This doesn’t mean that all blacks, or a majority of blacks, or a large minority of blacks, are savages. It means that this specific type of behavior is recurrent among blacks and among no other race. And therefore in our liberal society, which lets go of moral restraints while prohibiting any consciousness of negative minority behaviors, such black savagery will be increasingly unleashed.

The Nation declares “Jena Is America”

I believe this article, from the leftist “The Nation”, illustrates pretty well what’s wrong with much of the contemporary left’s thinking on racial and other similar issues. This treatment of the “Jena 6″ case follows the standard view of American society as a racist conspiracy against blacks and other minorities. No mention of the fact the victim was knocked unconsciousness and that witnesses observed the defendants kicking the victim afteward. No mention that Bell was already on probation for other things. No mention that the “all-white” jury was all-white due partially because few blacks showed up for jury service.

There’s no criticism of the prosecution for initially overcharging the defendants, except as an illustration of the supposed racist nature of the prosecution, ignoring that this is common practice everywhere and with all kinds of defendants, of whatever race or class.
